Product Owner

Full Time

A Product Owner oversees the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the client’s needs and preferences. Their main duties include determining the overall vision of products, managing various backlog items, and deciding which features each product will have according to the client’s preferences. To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases

Ultimately, you’ll help us deliver products that deliver our client’s vision.

The Role

What You’ll Do

  • Create product roadmaps (based on the product vision & calendar) 
  • Propose new features, UX improvements
  • Refine and prioritise the product backlog 
  • Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria
  • Set sprint goals
  • Write acceptance criteria
  • Plan releases and timelines
  • Follow progress of work and address production issues during sprints
  • Analyse preferences and requests of users
  • Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback
  • Keep track of industry trends
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, define the project vision and build the product roadmap
  • Prioritise the client’s needs and objectives, juggling scope, budget and time
  • Develop and manage the product backlog, doing so across your team’s roster of clients
  • Write detailed product feature briefs for your team’s designers and developers
  • Contribute to the planning, execution and review of each development / design sprint
  • Work with your team to continually refine and improve the development process
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of eCommerce or/and the market in which each client operates
  • Act as primary client liaison for delivery of projects and ongoing website development
  • Take accountability and be ultimately responsible for the delivery of client projects/products


  • At least 2+ years experience as a Product Owner or similar role in digital project management, eCommerce strategy, or account management
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology
  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
  • Technical background with knowledge of digital development and web technologies
  • Team spirit and good communication abilities
  • Good organizational skills


  • Experience with Shopify
  • Development or UX design experience
  • Experience working within a variety of agile development teams and processes
  • Experienced in managing established products & application
