Senior Front End Developer

Orius Digital is looking for a Front End Developer to work on our eCommerce, Digital Websites, and software development build for our impressive and growing client portfolio. Orius focuses on strategy, design, development, and data analysis in eCommerce, Fintech, and other verticals. As a FE Developer, you are expected to be able to build to translate the design provided to the web experience.

You will be helping push the boundaries of e-commerce through your knowledge of web development. Your understanding of the field will help shape our coding standards and best practices so that we can continue to deliver the best quality code to our clients. We’re looking for developers who are passionate about front-end development and want to challenge and be challenged to create world-class digital experiences & you will be involved in creating multiple sites simultaneously.

The Role

What You’ll Do

Project You will be involved in :
1) eCommerce Development with Shopify as the backend platform – Building custom theme, sections & apps

2) Website Development – Powered by CMS or headless.

  • Translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning websites using HTML/CSS/JS 
  • Rigorously educate yourself on the latest development techniques and best practices
  • Clearly communicate technical solutions to team members and clients both verbally and in written documentation
  • Implement new digital technologies or development techniques that help to meet client goals and business objectives
  • Deliver the best technical implementations for our eCommerce partners – all rooted in acquisition, conversion and retention

Requirements

  • eCommerce development experience (Shopify). If not, you are willing to learn and adapt.
  • An excellent ability to convert FIGMA mockups into interactive digital experiences
  • Demonstrated proficiency in hand-coding HTML using semantic markup, and CSS layout/positioning
  • A solid portfolio of quality hand-coded responsive web projects
  • A passion for front-end architecture as well as a driven attitude towards learning new web technologies
  • A solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
  • A knack for creating captivating user experiences through today’s leading technology stacks
  • Ability to emulate existing HTML projects and create new ones that seamlessly integrate with existing code
  • Desire to learn the Liquid (Shopify) templating language and master the Shopify & Shopify Plus platforms.

Bonus points for…

  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization or data-driven product development (analytics, a/b testing, etc.)
  • Bonus : Experience using JS Frameworks (jQuery, Vue.js, React etc, Alpine Js, Tailwind.)
  • Experience developing with prototype frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
  • Experience integrating dynamic content solutions with AJAX or API Services
  • Experience in developing Shopify website using Liquid language.
  • Familiarity developing with CSS pre-processors (LESS, SASS, etc.)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (GitHub etc.)
  • Versed in agile development and best practices
